Tomorrow is Liberty’s Birthday
Posted by Jake on June 30th, 2007 filed in libertyDear Friends and Family of Liberty,
Tomorrow (July 1st) would have been Liberty’s 29th birthday. In honor of Liberty, we are planning on doing an active tribute to Liberty’s memory. Tomorrow, we are heading over to Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve at 10:30 am. We ask that you join us from 10:30am-2:30pm, and participate in this beach clean up in honor of Liberty. Liberty was a compassionate lover of all things wild and spent countless hours in service of the earth, for animals, and human rights. Indeed, Liberty would appreciate folks coming out to help this cause, and it will also be a great place for you to walk around in a peaceful and beautiful place, and remember you fondest memories of Liberty. Please invite your family, children, partners, and friends to this event.
Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve is an amazing area just North of Huntington Beach. In the past, Liberty would participate in many beach clean ups at this place, and I have fond memories of those days and time spent with him.
The Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve extends along the East side of Pacific Coast Highway in the city of Huntington Beach from Warner Avenue to Seapoint Avenue. It is open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset. The Bolsa Chica Wetlands Interpretive Center is located at 3842 Warner Avenue, which is at the Southeast corner of Warner Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway. A second parking lot is located on the East side of PCH, 1 mile south of Warner.
**From the 405 or 22 Freeways, take the Bolsa Chica exit south to Warner Avenue. Turn right on Warner Avenue to PCH. Turn left at PCH.
